Bibino alternative: price, account and encryption compared
If you are looking for a Bibino alternative, you are probably comparing the price model, the account, the platforms and where your audio and video go. This page sets the vendor’s own statements, as of 22 October 2026, beside Babyfino, which is coming soon for iPhone and Android.
Bibino is a baby monitor app by TappyTaps s.r.o., a Czech company, for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android [1][2]. It has a free plan with limited features and a Premium subscription that needs an account, and according to its vendor the communication runs through the vendor’s servers, encrypted with SSL [3][4][5]. Price, platforms, account, data path and features are what people usually compare when they look for an alternative. Everything this page says about Bibino comes from the vendor or the app stores as of 22 October 2026 and may have changed since.
Who makes Bibino, and which devices does Bibino run on?
The App Store names TappyTaps s.r.o. of Hořice, Czech Republic, as the provider, and lists iPhone and iPad from iOS and iPadOS 15.0, Mac from macOS 12.0 and Apple Vision; Android has its own app on Google Play [1][2]. For the Bibino account, the vendor also names Windows and Linux [5].
The App Store description lists, among other things, video, motion detection, Wi-Fi and mobile data, several parent devices, a night light, lullabies and soothing your baby with your voice [1]. The pricing page says up to four children can be monitored at once from one parent station [3].
Is Bibino free? Bibino’s price model as of 22 October 2026
Bibino has a free plan with limited features; unlimited video monitoring, video recording, audio history and lullabies are among the Premium features [6]. Retrieved from Germany on 22 October 2026, the vendor’s pricing page listed Premium at 3.99 EUR a week, 5.99 EUR a month or 39.99 EUR a year, the annual plan with a free three-day trial for new subscribers, and “App with no ads” as a Premium benefit [3]. The German App Store listed some other prices on the same day [1]. Prices differ by country, store and date.
Does Bibino need an account?
Not for the free plan: one device displays a code and the other enters it [7]. According to the vendor, upgrading to Premium asks you to create a Bibino account with an e-mail address and a password [5].
How does Bibino transmit audio and video, according to its vendor?
In its privacy and security FAQ, the vendor writes that the entire communication is “encrypted by industry-standard SSL”, that it goes through its servers, and that some data is stored on them [4]. On the free plan, the activity log is saved without audio, video or photos; with Premium, each session’s recordings, photos and activity log are kept for 21 days after it ends and then deleted automatically [4]. We found no vendor statement that Bibino is end-to-end encrypted in its FAQ, pricing page, store listings or privacy policy (as of 22 October 2026) [1–5][8].

What is Babyfino?
Babyfino is coming soon for iPhone and Android. A spare phone or tablet becomes the baby device in the child’s room, the parents listen on their own phones, and the sleep companion looks after the parent who falls asleep while putting the child to bed. Audio and video are end-to-end encrypted, so not even Babyfino’s server can listen in, though it does see metadata such as connection times. The clips for listening back stay on the baby device; a parent’s phone fetches them encrypted and keeps nothing. Babyfino needs an internet connection on both devices – without one it does not work, not even in the same room. It is not a medical device and does not monitor breathing or movement.
What should you check in any baby monitor app?
- Encryption: Does the vendor say whether audio and video pass its servers, and whether they are end-to-end encrypted?
- Storage: What is recorded, is it kept on the device or on a server, and when is it deleted?
- Account: Does the app need one, and which personal data does it ask for?
- Connection loss: Does the app tell you when the device in the child’s room drops out, and how quickly?
- Your phones: Does it run on every phone that should listen, iPhone and Android alike?
- Price model: A time limit, a subscription or a one-time purchase – and for how many devices?
- Privacy labels: The privacy details in the app stores are the vendors’ own statements; Apple notes on every app page that it has not verified them [1].
